Verdict

Although there are few setbacks, the Asus X751MA-DH01TQ Notebook PC makes it up by its flawless design and superiority on software, storage and entertainment tools. It is also not very expensive and completely fits our budget for a touchscreen laptop.

All-round laptop with classic timeless design

Display and Design

The Asus X751MA-DH01TQ Notebook PC comes in a classic full black colored body, and features a 15.6-inch high definition BrightView LED Backlit touchscreen display. Chiclet-type keyboard and multi-touch gesture supported touchpad forms the input devices of the machine.

Hardware and OS

The notebook operates on Windows 8.1 OS which is flexible and well suited for multitasking. The processor is Intel Celeron quad-core N2930 processor with a processing speed of 1.8GHz while the onboard memory is 8GB non-configurable DDR3 type RAM. Both RAM and processor helps in delivering decent performance in spite of average processing speed. Basic Intel HD graphics is provided to support casual games and basic multimedia operations. 

 

Memory, Camera and others

The Asus X751MA-DH01TQ Notebook PC is furnished with 1TB worth of SATA type hard disk drive (HDD) providing ample space to save all personal and work information. The webcam is enabled with 720p HD video recording capability for great video chatting experience. Built-in microphone and stereo speakers working on SonicMaster and HD Audio solution form the audio devices. For easy disk data transfer, DL DVD RW/CD-RW optical drive is provided.  

 

Battery and connectivity

In terms of connectivity and networking, the Asus machine features Bluetooth v4.0, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI port, USB ports, Ethernet 10/100/1000 etc. It has 4-cell lithium-ion battery life offering up to 5 hours of heavy computer usage.
