Verdict

The Dell Inspiron 14 3437 (3437545001BU) laptop packs in lot of nice elements. It has great battery backup, a dedicated graphics card, HD webcam etc. The performance is also good for games and apps. However, a full HD display would have been an additional package for the user.

The Dell Inspiron 14 3437 (3437545001BU) laptop flaunts a 13.8-inch HD LED backlit with truelife display which has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The system is driven by a 1.6GHz Intel core i5-4200U processor seated upon Intel QM87 Express chipset. It is assisted by a 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 720M. For better performance, the user can increase the RAM capacity upto 8GB. The laptop boots on Ubuntu operating system floating upon 64-bit architecture.

Camera and Connectivity

The laptop is stacked by a 1MP webcam which can capture HD videos say 720 x 1,280 pixels. On the networking front, the laptop offers a wide range of options such as a Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 3.0 slots, one USB 2.0 slot, an SD card reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and a VGA port. 

Input Devices, Battery and Storage

In order to input data in the system, the laptop offers two common devices - a touchpad and a standard notebook keyboard. A DVD writer comes in handy for maintaining backup files. The Dell Inspiron 14 3437 (3437545001BU) gets it energy from a 6 cell li-ion battery which claims to render a backup for around three hours. As far as the storage is concerned, the laptop houses a 500GB SATA hard disk which performs task at a speed of 5,400 revolutions per minute.
