Dell Inspiron 15 3521 (3521P4500iBT1) Laptop (Pentium Dual Core 3rd Gen/4 GB/500 GB/Windows 8)

I bought this laptop 2 weeks back from another site (Dell's official site) since Flipkart doesnt deliver laptops to my area! Anyhow, I want to share my review - the product is excellent, absolutely top notch at it's price. Although I have never been too fond of touch screens, it is the way forward, and it is a feature that comes handy on occasional use such as scrolling the page down, left or right or simply clicking links, etc. To get a touch screen from a brand like Dell at this price is a must have! The build quality of the laptop is great and also looks sleek. The power backup is also very good. The laptop comes with 15 months Mcafee as well. The preloaded apps/tiles on start screen are quite useful and customized as per the indian/local relevance. The laptop has an Indian layout keyboard that comes in useful(like typing the rupee symbol for instance). All in all I find no negatives in this product. I have patronized Sony Vaio for a long time. I still have it and it is in perfect condition taking most of my usage load. I tried Dell this time just for a change and also since it was offering a touch screen at this price point. I have not been disappointed. Love it!!

My budget was less than 30 K and I needed a machine which could help me do my office work (lots of programming with Local Hosted Oracle and Application Server for testing) - 4 GB RAM and a 3 Gen PDC (low battery consumption, less sound, better processing speed than my office machine) with a decent 15.6 display makes this a brilliant machine ... works like a charm - Not for gamers though ... but how much game you play on laptop now a days when you have loads of them on your phone and also with PS3 and Xbox being offered for real gamers. Took some time to get used to Win 8, but once you do you start liking it a lot though - this however is a personal choice and should not effect your decision. I do at times use it to connect the machine to my TV (through HDMI) and play downloaded content or DVD - the video and audio output is very good too and works a charm. Body make (rough Matty style finish) - again personal preference - I like it more that glossy finished machines (same for my phones) - they look better give you better grip and according to me work as extra layer of protection. Dell as a brand - I trust always had a good experience with it, even when something goes wrong (with my old dell machine) I have been able to diagnose and resolve it (with some surfing online or by chatting with Help Desk) Rating is 5 because of excellent configuration, performance, quality build, brand and budget. Not sure why Flipkart is not showing a Certified Buyer - Hence Editing the review to add this line - I am a certified buyer
