The lead character "Akpors" known as Ayo Makun (Ayodeji Richard Makun, also known by his stage name A.Y ) is a multi-award winning Nigerian actor and comedian.

It won different academy awards in Africa.

Like its sequel, it wasn't positively met by critics; but its the fourth highest-grossing Nigeria film by domestic gross.

Its the first installment of Adventure of Akpor franchise, followed by its sequel A Trip To Jamaica in 2016 and 10 Days In Suncity in 2017.

In 2014, the film entered the Guiness World Record as the highest-grossing Nigeria film in both home and abroad; a record broken by its sequel A Trip To Jamaica in 2016.
