Part of this film's storyline has journalist Robert Hughes continually seeking an interview with ABBA. Early during the tour, ABBA were not told about this to provide authenticity. They had believed that the actor was a real reporter trying to get a scoop.

In 2002, ABBA was offered one billion dollars to do a reunion tour. They declined.
