Abbara Review

Abbara is a Kannada action thriller that revolves around a man who seeks revenge against a villain he has been waiting to defeat for more than two decades. The hero dons three different avatars, and the story moves back and forth between the 90s and the present. The villain, Vairamudi, played by Ravi Shankar, is a land mafia who kills two people. In the present, Vairamudi is attacked by a masked man, who takes on three different avatars, Prasad, Jai, and Shankar, to seek his revenge. The movie is a typical Kannada masala flick, with Prajwal delivering a massy performance, and Ravi Basrur providing good music. The movie has some comic and sentimental scenes, with Ravi Shankar also shining in his villainous role. However, the film's story and screenplay could have been better. Some scenes drag on for too long, and some serious scenes turn out to be comical. Overall, Abbara is a watchable film for those who miss old masala flicks.
