TRIVIA

Trivia

The podcast recollecting the crime depicted in this film was one of the first successful podcasts in Brazil. Isis Valverde listened to it as part of her research.

Isis Valverde described Ângela Diniz as "someone who escaped every contemporary standard and was unbound, financially independent and leonine. I heard from one of her friends that if not Doca, another man would have killed her".

Ângela Diniz's murder ignited the feminist movement in Brazil.

Isis Valverde has pointed out that "a lot of people still believe Ângela Diniz was responsible for her own murder. Like Carlos Drummond de Andrade once wrote, 'that woman has been murdered every day since then and still".

Producers decided to not refer to the real life Doca Street as "Doca" on the film. According to screenwriter Duda de Almeida, his famous nickname might have sounded a too friendly way to refer to him.
