Ant-Man And The Wasp Review

Ant-Man 3 or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the latest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the third film in the Ant-Man movie series. Since Avengers: Endgame gave out a massive conclusion, most Marvel movies in the post-Endgame era have been lacklustre. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is no different. While it does have the charming Paul Rudd carrying the movie singlehandedly, the plot is just plain boring. Given the MCU is more like a TV series, we are just in the initial few episodes, and fans believe we will have to go through some context-setting movies before the real stuff starts to kick in. This movie is energetic and fun but lacks the standalone excitement to make it run big. Hopefully, within the next few years, it becomes a nice bridge before another Avengers conclusion in the MCU.

TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Paul Rudd really did learn close up magic for this movie. "I really did learn some of the magic. I haven't really kept it up. But then again, trying to learn to be really good at magic in a short amount of time is like trying to learn violin in a short amount of time."

Langston Fishburne, Laurence Fishburne's son, played the younger version of his character, Dr. Bill Foster.

(at around 32 minutes) Scott grumbles that just wearing a hat and sunglasses does not conceal your identity. This has been a running joke among fans, since several MCU characters have used this technique including: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury and Falcon.

The alien-looking organisms in the microscopic realm (on the way to the quantum realm) are water bears (tardigrades), which have been found in the most extreme environments on Earth including hot springs, glaciers, the top of the Himalayas and deep sea trenches. They can go dormant without food or water for decades and survive incredible temperatures, pressures, radiation, toxicity, and even several days in space.

(at around 56 mins) They knew they wanted to feature another scene with Luis (Michael Peña) riffing a long story again but didn't want to repeat themselves. The idea of pitting him against Walton Goggins' villainous Sonny Burch and a truth serum, though, gave them a way into the scene.

Popular Dialogues

"Scott Lang: [shrunk down to a child's size; runs into Pym's car after going undercover in a school] Dr. Hank Pym: Hiya, champ, how was school today? Scott Lang: Aw, ha ha ha! Alright, get your jokes out now, can you fix the suit? Hope van Dyne: So cranky. Dr. Hank Pym: You want a juice box and some string cheese? Scott Lang: Do you really have that?"

"Cassie: [to Scott] You can do it. You can do anything. You're the world's greatest grandma."
