Shot in the childhood home of co-producer Tammy Ridenour, where her mother has lived for 60 years.
A big Hitchcock fan, writer/director Les Mahoney named the private detective Boarstag, an anagram of the name of the private detective in Psycho, Arbogast.
Homage to Hitchcock. Several elements in the movie play off the "Master of Suspense" 1) The private investigator's last name is Boarstag, an anagram of Arbogast, the private investigator in "Psycho". 2) The name of the young caregiver is "Rebecca" after the Hitchcock classic of the same name. 3) Boarstag and Ted's fight scene is in the style of the classic fight scene in "Torn Curtain". 4) Much like Hitchcock appeared in all his movies, so too does the director's wife, Tammy Ridenour, appear in this movie--as a woman walking a dog early in the movie. 5) Granny's first name is Marion, the same first name of Janet Leigh's character in "Psycho".
"Ted Steiner: I know a thing or two too. Ted Steiner: We'll all fry together."
"Rebecca Torrance: And you seemed like such a nice lady. Rebecca Torrance: I really liked your dog story."
