This is the first movie in combination of actor Mahesh babu and director trivikram srinivas. It is an action thriller collected approximately INR220 million (US$3.5 million) in its total run, thus becoming the sensational hit of 2005 in Tollywood. It is the first Telugu film dubbed in Poland which received an overwhelming response over there.
The DVD version of the movie was released by Aditya Music under its Aditya Video brand and won the best DVD award for its quality and is considered to be one of the highest sold DVD's in Tollywood history.
Mahesh Babu has received prestigious Nandi award for his acting in this movie.
The climax fight sequence was shot for 30 days. The big freeze shots in that fight were shot in 120 cameras simultaneously which were imported from london.
Trivikram narrated the script to mahesh babu even before his first film but mahesh had other commitments then so it happened to be Trivikram's second film
