IMDbOutstanding Individual Performance in a MadeforTelevision Movie or MiniSeries in a Crossover Role | 1999 | Martin
Martin Sheen was originally offered the role of Dr. Bryson but after reading the script, he asked to play the Soul Hunter instead.
The Soul Hunter make-up, first seen in Babylon 5: Soul Hunter (1994), was altered to make Martin Sheen's face more recognizable.
In a 2004 interview with The Independent, Ian McShane stated that he wished that he had turned down the role of Dr. Robert Bryson as he had struggled with the technical dialogue and found looking at Martin Sheen, who was wearing an eye in the middle of his forehead, to be the most embarrassing experience that he had ever had while acting. He also added that, during filming, he began making up his own technobabble dialogue which displeased the producers.
The film takes place from June 8 to June 13, 2263.
Nikki Ziering's debut.
"Michael Alfredo Garibaldi: [when the first Soul Hunter ship arrives] All I know is the only time they show up is when someone's about to die. Zack Allen: [Zack coughs] I just have a dry spot in my throat from the air conditioning. I feel fine! Stop looking at me like that!"
"David Corwin: [more Soul Hunter ships arrive] Okay, activate defense grid. Launch all Starfuries. And if they move shoot 'em. If they don't move, shoot twice. They're probably hiding something."
