Iza Calzado was originally tapped to play the female lead. But since she was already in the other Metro Manila Film Festival 2007 entry, Desperadas (2007), she was pulled out from the project.
Wendy Valdez was negotiated to replace Iza Calzado, but her mother studio, ABS-CBN, wanted Wendy's first movie appearance to be produced by its Star Cinema production.
The original main cast submitted by the production to the Metro Manila Film Festival is Marvin Agustin, Dingdong Dantes, and Iza Calzado. At a point, when the three performers are not available, the production tapped 'Christopher de Leon', Alfred Vargas and Wendy Valdez to take the lead roles.
Actor Christopher De Leon wanted to have the movie title changed to "Thou Shall Not Murder". But it was not materialized due to shortage of time.
