The school scenes are filmed in Oakwood, (a school in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England) a lot of the students seen are actual students from that school.
Based on the book 'Billionare Boy', written by David Walliams who portrays Mrs. Trafe in the film. Many of the characters in the film, including Sapphire Diamond, are not actually in the book.
In the book, Miss Sharpe is called Miss Spite.
