Due to the film's limited budget, director James Nguyen was unable to hire a full time film crew. As such, cast members performed the tasks that a crew typically would. In an effort to make the film appear more professional, Nguyen made up names for crew members that appear in the credits.
After the Sundance Film Festival rejected the film, James Nguyen put banners, fake blood, and fake birds all over his van, then drove around to advertise the film. Eventually, he caught the attention of Severin Films, which distributed the film.
Lead actress Whitney Moore took over the job of make-up artist after the first two hired make-up artists quit after the first two weeks of filming.
James Nguyen spent four years making this movie.
When advertising for the movie, the movie title was painted onto the side of a truck. It was initially spelled wrong, it read "Bidremic"
