In Ichigo's bedroom, the Bleach Manga volumes can be seen stacked on one shelf of his bookcase.
"Bleach" creator Tite Kubo's only concern about a live-action adaptation of his work was Ichigo's orange hair color, which he thought would be strange for a Japanese person.
The roles of Ichigo, Urahara, Uryu, and Orihime retain their English voice actors from the anime. Funnily, the voice in the anime of Ichigo's sister Yuzu switched roles to voice Ichigo's other sister Karin in this film. While some voice actors did play minor roles in the bleach anime, all other dubbed voices are not the anime English voices for those characters.
Tite Kubo chose "News From the Front" (Bad Religion) as the theme song of Ichigo Kurosaki, and in Ichigo's room, you can see several posters of that band.
All the main male characters (Ichigo, Renji, Byakuya, Ishida, Chad) has hairstyles very similar to the source material, despite unique hair colours and complicated hairdos. Both main female characters' hairstyles (Rukia and Orihime) looks nothing like the source material, despite having simple hairdos and regular hair colours for Japanese youth.
