The film was already fully cast and just began filming. But, after a recommendation from the lead actress in the film Anne Reiss and the director Ted Moehring viewing and greatly liking his previous work, actor Damien Colletti was added to the cast to play the role of drug dealer/kingpin, Nick Lemenza.
Lloyd Kaufman filmed some of his experience working on the film to help teach others. This experience is also featured in Lloyd's book 'Produce Your Own Damn Movie!'.
Conrad Brooks was originally cast to play the role of Chief Adamson in the film. But due to health issues at the time Conrad was unable to and producer Cedric Crouch took his place.

"Nick Lemenza: [laughs] A fucking cop. Well that explains everything. It has been a while since I made my last, payoff. Please, have a seat. Detective Bliss: No thanks. You lie with the dogs, you tend to get flees. Nick Lemenza: Well, it beats sleeping with the fish no?"
