Blurr is a Zee5 horror thriller film that stars Taapsee, Gulshan Devaiah, and Abhilash Thapliyal in lead roles. The movie has received mixed reviews across the board, which is largely attributed to the poor character development that is at the centre of a good thriller. Remake of the Spanish film ‘Julia's Eyes', Blurr has a solid plot that gradually unravels to a satisfying climax. In fact, the cinematography holds up well too and manages to keep all the suspense for the absolute end. But the director also acts as the villain by altering and giving the script his own spin. Honestly, it would have been tighter had he gone with exactly what the original Spanish film had to offer. Even the music and soundtrack does not do much justice to the plot and is forgotten at best. All in all, a sub-2 hour thriller film from Hindi cinema is appreciated, but the writing could have been better.
