TRIVIA

Trivia

The campfire story Tommy is telling about a killer in a hockey mask killing camp counselors is most likely a reference to Friday the 13th. Furthermore, Tommy is likely a reference to the character Tommy Jarvis, from Friday the 13th The Final Chapter, Friday the 13th A New Beginning, and Jason Lives Friday the 13th part VI.

There is a legend of a Boggy Creek Monster, aka the Fouke Monster, similar to Bigfoot, but it originated in Fouke, Arkansas (which is near Texarkana, Texas), where the Boggy Creek is located and the sightings occurred. There is no town called Boggy Creek in Texas. There is a stream called Boggy Creek, but it isn't connected to the one in Arkansas. The very first movie about the Fouke Monster, The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972), takes place in and was filmed on location in Fouke, Arkansas.
