The arm that grabs the sheep is the arm from the dentist in Finding Nemo (2003).
To date, this is the only Pixar short to contain dialogue, not counting ones based on existing properties.

The Model T Ford that enters the scene is from Cars (2006).
When the sheep is doing its "boundin'" circle around the plain, each animator who worked on the project did two bounds.
"Jackalope: Now sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down. When you find that you're down, well, just look around. You still got a body, good legs and fine feet, get your head in the right place and hey you're complete!"
"Jackalope: Pink? Pink? Well, what's wrong with pink? Seems like you got a pink kink in your think!"
