The original stars were supposedly Rosanna Roces, Rufa Mae Quinto, and Diana Zubiri. When Rosanna Roces turned down the major role due to her supposed pregnancy, the role went to Dina Bonnevie. The casting was then overhauled with Cherrie Pie Picache replacing Rufa Mae Quinto, and Francine Prieto replacing Diana Zubiri.
Producer Robbie Tan yanked Diana Zubiri from the project saying "I don't think Diana Zubiri can compete with the two (Cherry Pie Picache and Dina Bonnevie) when it comes to acting." However, the producer gave Diana Zubiri the starring role in Liberated (2003) in which she was supported by Francine Prieto, who replaced her in this movie.
Producer Robbie Tan described the movie as Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) meets Sex and the City (1998).
Ara Mina was also tapped to replace Rufa Mae Quinto. Her commitment to do another Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Fantastic Man (2003), prohibited here from doing this film.
