TRIVIA

Trivia

There are 4 existing versions of the film. A 140 minute version which was screened at the cast/crew screening in Oro Grande, CA at the Roy Rogers Ranch, a 133 minute version which was screened at the cast/crew screening in South Pasadena, CA at the South Pasadena Library, a 111 minute version which was submitted to film festivals, and The Final Cut which is 100 minutes in length. All versions were edited by the Director and are approved by him.

For the 100 minute version of the film, the Director removed 2 scenes which provided the film some humanity. In an effort to put those 2 scenes back, the 1st Assistant Editor of the film "Seven", Robert Charles Lusted, was hired as an editing consultant. Additional trims were made without losing any scenes and the film was reduced by an additional 5 minutes, after which portions of the 2 scenes were put back while retaining the 100 minute length.

The car used in the film referred to as "Duke" is a 1988 Ford Bronco which was purchased from a man in Los Angeles. During the exchange of money for vehicle, the Director told the man why the vehicle was being purchased. The man was pleased that his car was being used for a film. The Director then asked the man if he would be interested in being in the film, and he said "Yes". 2 years later, the man was in the film as the "Mexican Gardener Cannibal"

The character of the "Psychotic Drifter" drinks out of a mug that was specially made for the film by "One Eyed Cat", a store on Etsy. As a thank you, during the filming of one scene, the "Psychotic Drifter" made a commercial for "One Eyed Cat" which can presently be viewed on You Tube.

The film was selected for a panel discussion at "Son of Monsterpalooza" 2017 during which clips of the film were shown, and actors Ron Jason, Chris Shumway, Katherine Norland, as well as Cinematographer R.T. Norland, and Director Joaquin Montalvan were interviewed about the film.
