The message written on Marcel's chalkboard that Georges finds is this -- "It was impossible to come back whole. With a tongue to speak, a mouth to sing, lips to kiss, ears to hear, eyes to see, legs to dance, hands to caress, arms to build, a head to dream, a heart to love. Soon we'll speak, Georges. We'll sing, we'll dance, we'll work, we'll sleep, we'll dream, we'll hope, we'll love, we'll live. Soon we'll have done the impossible. - To Léonce and those who did the impossible."
