When the director pitched this movie idea to producers, they asked him to make a five minute short film of it and the director made a forty minute short film and impressed them.
Shooting the train scene was the toughest part. Only 2 trains pass through that route in a day where they were shooting. When they couldn't get the scene perfectly, they had to wait for next days train. Five cameras were used for this scene.
Movie was shot in Gollahalli village in Karnataka state (Mulbagal taluk, Kolar district). But, in the movie it is shown as Gollapalli, a village in Andhra Pradesh. Auto Rickshaw that Veera drives also has Karnataka registration.
Director Praveen Kandregula said that "Supermen of Malegaon" inspired Cinema Bandi.
Director approached producers with this movie idea in 2018 at a panel discussion on horror movies.
