TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Writer/Director Dirk Shafer based the character of Hector on a friend from real life, a narcissistic, self loathing, gay circuit boy who committed suicide on his 30th birthday.

Early in the film, John (Jonathan Wade-Drahos) drives into Los Angeles/West Hollywood, and as he drives, he passes by several iconic gay bars, Rage at 8911 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood; Mother Load at 8944 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood; Spike (now CLOSED) at 7746 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood; and Mickey's 8857 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90069. The camera lingers over the bar signs just long enough for the audience to take notice.

First film appearance for Jonathan Wade-Drahos.

First film appearance for Paul Lekakis, who received an on screen "introducing" credit.

Writer/Director Dirk Shafer, who is well known as Playgirl magazine's 1992 Man of the Year, cast fellow Playgirl Man of the Year (for 1999), Eddie Jamison in the role of a Shirtless Jogger.

Popular Dialogues

"Hector Ray: I don't like women - or ugly men."

"Louise: You sell the drugs, which compromises judgment, which causes the unprotected sex, and contributes to AIDS in these younger kids. Gino: We give them the condoms, don't we? Louise: They throw the condoms away, Gino."
