Fundraising for Come Morning began on Kickstarter in November 2010. In 45 days, the film raised over $22,000.
Though the film was shot in what is usually a mild month (October), the temperatures in Arkansas dropped to nearly 30 degrees. Three nights, several cast and crew members had to stand knee-deep in water for many hours on end.
According to interviews, the general idea of Come Morning was developed in autumn 2009, but it took two years of writing, fundraising, and prep before the film could be shot on its tiny budget.
Photographed in 12 days using 19 different locations.
Premiered at the 2012 Austin Film Festival.
