TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Director and star Eric Jacobus carried his laptop, camera, and hard drive with him at all times during production. Unemployed at the time, he slept on floors and edited the previous day's footage the following mornings.

Before production began, Andy Leung broke several bones in his foot. Though he recovered in time for filming, his character was briefly altered to walk with a cane and perform all kicks with the uninjured foot.

The first fight of the film took four days to shoot. The Lawrence/Lei fight took six. The fight with the bat-wielding thugs took seven. The Alfonso/Bunny fight took one night. The rooftop fight took three days. Renee's portion of the warehouse finale took five, the Lei/Assistant/Marty fight took eight, Alfonso's fight took 12, and the Lawrence/Ticker fight took 14. The final fight was filmed in one night.

Filming of the "Bunny" fight scene was interrupted twice when police arrived at the production site, responding to a report that people were brawling.

The fight between Lei, Marty, and the assistant was shortened after Ray Carbonel suffered an injury that briefly made him lose sensation on the left side of his body. Not wanting tempt further injury, a lot of intended choreography was cut.
