Even though Jennifer Lynn Warren spent hours in crocodile-inhabited waters stark naked for nearly half a day, which led to her getting hypothermia, she said in interviews that she had a blast making the film.
This film earned only $327,000 in its 1,507-theater opening weekend, setting the record of the worst opening weekend in more than 1,500 theaters, and its $217 per-theater average was the second worst for a wide release (behind only Proud American (2008)'s $128 average).
Daniel Bernhardt asked director Fred Andrews if he could play the monster Lockjaw in the film.
On the French Canadian DVD release, Sid Haig's name is replaced by the name Christopher Faloona, who is actually the cinematographer on the movie. The film makers have not commented on how this happened.
It took four hours every day to put Daniel Bernhardt in the Lockjaw monster suit.
