STORY

Story
Donna Yaklich meets Dennis the policeman and thinks she might have found a good relationship. But Dennis is obsessed with weight-lifting and uses steroids, which make him aggressive and abusive. Getting out of the relationship isn't easy as Dennis isn't willing to let her go, and Donna's options are narrowed down to one remaining alternative.

Although Donna's sentence was 40 years, she was paroled after 18 years and is now living free and relocated in another state. In fact, all of the perpetrators have served their sentences and been released.

To get genuine reactions during violent confrontations with her husband, Jaclyn Smith often requested Brad Johnson to be really aggressive and violent toward her in these scenes, even taking some blows.

In the movie, Dennis is depicted as having one stepdaughter from his previous marriage. The real Dennis had three stepchildren and one daughter of his own from his previous marriage.

The real Eddie Greenwell passed away on July 9, 2017 in Avondale Colorado.
