Tony Gloria offered Sharon Cuneta the chance to co-produce the film. She lacked the money since she was then repairing her house but did not hesitate to take the lead role in the movie since Tony Gloria was her long-time friend.
Nida Blanca was supposed to play the role of the former star, Aling Doray. Blanca's sudden death paved the way for Hilda Koronel to have the role.
