None of the actors were auditioned. Each role was cast based off of either working with the director David Rountree on past projects or from trusted referrals.
David Rountree met David Banks in an acting class over ten years prior to CUT! being made. The pair began writing short comedy scenes together, but were lectured never to write scenes as they were "actors not writers." Since then Rountree has written four feature films that have been made and co-wrote a fifth with Banks, which is set to be made after the completion of CUT!
The Official M Rankings (Movie Rankings) listed CUT! as 4th Overall on the Best Horror Films of 2014 List.
Gabrielle Stone stars with Suze Lanier, who also starred in The Hills Have Eyes with Gabrielle's Mother, Dee Wallace Stone.
Actors Sam Scarber and David Banks worked together on the film "Committed," also directed by David Rountree.
