At the time this film was released, Dolphy and Babalu are both included in the cast of the sitcom Home Along Da Riles as well as Dang Cruz and Boy 2 Quizon.
Agot Isidro who played Babalu's daughter in this film also played his daughter in the sitcom Oki Doki Doc as well as its film version. The same is true also with Boy 2 Quizon who aside from playing Dolphy's son in this film also played his son in the sitcom Home Along Da Riles and its film version. Both sitcoms are aired in ABS-CBN at the time this film was released.
Aside from being a policemen, another similarities between the characters of Dolphy, Babalu and Lito Lapid in this film is that all of them are widowers.
Though it is titled Da Best in the West 2, this film is actually the fourth film (including the first film which used the correct spelling of the word "The" instead of the Filipinized spelling "Da") of Dolphy and Lito Lapid that used the mentioned title.
The last film collaboration between Dolphy and Lito Lapid. Incidentally all of Lapid's movie with Dolphy in 1981,1984,1989 and this one are all titled Da Best in The West (the only difference is that the first film used the correct spelling of "The").
