Although the director has never revealed to the public the riddle about "whose garter belt is this", everything seems to indicate that he presents it in the film itself using numerical clues in the style of Peter Greenaway. Around 88:32, in a tense atmosphere of complicit looks inside an elevator, the Puma (Marcos Martinez) can be seen wearing a sleeveless with the number "12" next to Gonzalo. At 101:05 the title of the next flashback scene that gives rise to the whole story is shown: "Alemania 1986". This scene takes place in a German hotel where at 102:02 you can see Gonzalo wearing a shirt with the number "74" while receiving the garter belt that he puts in his suitcase for the return trip. If the director deliberately chose the numbers on the shirts so that the sum coincides with the year '86 of the garter belt, he would be telling us that the garter belt was in some way shared by the two boys.
