STORY AND REVIEWS

Story

Dear Vaappi Review

Dear Vaapi is a cliched and predictable film with an insipid script that relies heavily on formulaic tropes. The father-daughter relationship between Basheer and Amira lacks nuance and feels inauthentic, with both characters being written as overly good and devoid of any flaws. The love interest Riyas is a victim of an overused cliche, with his borderline stalker behavior being portrayed as charming. The film's black and white characters offer little intrigue, and the story only picks up in the second and third acts when the protagonists face hurdles in setting up their business. The slow pace of the film does not do it any favors, but it does offer a few moments of intrigue as the protagonists come up with solutions to their problems. Despite its mediocrity, the film attempts to hold a mirror to the struggles of entrepreneurs in the initial stage of setting up their businesses.
