IMDbDemon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba -to The Swordsmith Village- is an excellent continuation of the original anime series, with beautiful animation and engaging action sequences. The film is faithful to the source material and provides fans with an enjoyable experience, complete with compelling characters and new challenges for the main protagonists. One of the highlights of the film is the introduction of new characters, including the swordsmiths and their apprentices, who add depth to the story and provide unique perspectives on the demon-slaying world. The film also explores the themes of family, loyalty, and sacrifice, which are central to the overall narrative of Demon Slayer. While the pacing of the film is a bit slower compared to the series, it serves as a necessary breather before the intense final arc. The emotional climax of the film is beautifully executed, with stunning visuals and a touching soundtrack that leaves a lasting impact on the audience. Overall, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba -to The Swordsmith Village- is a must-watch for fans of the series and a great addition to the franchise.

Despite CrunchyRoll's attempts to make it clear this was meant to be the Season Premiere and nothing more, Many Fans were left unaware the Film was merely a Compilation and were Disappointed to find it was not an actual Movie, like the Mugan Train Film. Some also argue other anime films such as "Kaguya: Love is War: the First Kiss that Never Ends" were given limited releases to focus on marketing and releasing this film instead.
The film is a Compilation consisting of the Final 2 Episodes of the Entertainment District Arc & the Hour Long Premiere episode of the (at the Time) Upcoming Swordsmith Village Arc.
