When the film Big Brother was launched in 2001, the original cast was Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel and Sudhanshu Pandey. The film was to be produced by Vijayta Films. The title of the film was " Devaa". The film was shelved for unknown reasons. When the film was restarted it was titled " Gandhi" and Priyanka Chopra had replaced Amisha Patel and Emraan Khan had replaced Sudhanshu. The film was was now to be produced by Guddu Dhanoa and only " Presented" by Vijayta Films.The film title once again changed, this time to " Deodhar Gandhi". Fearing the audience might also reject this title, the producer's chose " Big Brother". Subhash Ghai and Amitabh were also to make a film titled "Devaa" which got shelved.
