This is one of two movies that Amrish Puri played a villain in an Ajay Devgan movie, the other is Hulchul (1995). The other Ajay Devgan movies Amrish Puri never played a villain.
Paresh Rawal was signed for the film but walked out due to not like the fitting of his police uniform. Actor Abhimanyu replaced him.
Ajay Devgan claimed the film was not a flop and made money for the distributors. The only problem was it did not make as much money as Phool Aur Kaante and Jigar.
First film of Ajay Devgan to be released theatrically in Canada. In 1982 , Indian films stopped being released in theatre's. In July of 1992, Indian films started to play in theatre's once again.
