TRIVIA

Trivia

Father Chris is a huge Chicago Blackhawks fan, the Chicago Blackhawks did not make the playoffs from 1998 until 2008.

There is a signed picture of Jeremy Roenick in Father Chris's house. Jeremy Roenick was on the Chicago Blackhawks from 1988-1996. He Led them to the Stanley cup finals in 1992 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jeremy Roenick became a Stanley Cup playoffs hockey analyst on TSN, in 2007. When the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010 Jeremy Roenick who was an analyst at the time, got really emotional on the air saying that the kid who was crying when he was coming off the ice while they lost in 1992, can now smile 18 years later.

When the Chicago Blackhawks went to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1992 they lost to Pittsburg Penguins.

In one scene Billy Duncan is eating a Gyro which is a Greek/Turkish dish which is usually served in a pita. There has always been controversy with the way you pronounce this dish, Billy Duncan pronounced it one way, and Father Chris corrected him by pronouncing it a more traditional way. There is no wrong way of Gyro, it all depends on where you live.

Robert Krantz who plays Billy Dunkin wrote the script for the movie. He comes from a Greek background.
