The Trump cards, which are prominently mentioned in the movie, are featured in chapter two of the original book "Art Of The Deal". The chapter is called "Trump Cards - The Elements of the Deal". There are eleven cards, of which nine are mentioned in the movie (including "Have Fun"). The card "Enchance Your Location" was changed in the movie to "Improve your location" and "Protect the downside" was originally in the book called "Protect the Downside and the Upside will take care of itself".
The film takes place in 1956, 1973, 1977, 1978, 1983, and 1986.
