Esther Anil originated the role of the hero's youngest daughter in the original Malayalam film Drishyam (2013), and plays the same role in the both this Telegu-language remake and in Tamil-language remake, Papanasam (2015). Similarly, Roshan Basheer plays the role of the victim across the same three films. Additionally, Meena as the mother and Kalabhavan Shajohn as the constable appear in the both the original and in this remake.
Despite the Hindi remakes "Drishyam" and "Drishyam 2" both starring Ajay Devgn, the Hindi dubbed versions of both "Drushyam" and "Drushyam 2" titled "Aankhen" and "Aankhen 2" respectively were premiered back to back on Goldmines Telefilms's own TV channel on 26 January 2023 at 5 pm and 8 pm respectively.
