The original screenplay was 145 pages, but the crew just shot first 88 pages. Still the film has wholesome meaning, though with improper and unplanned ending.
Original background music composer Dale Sumner almost quit the film due to financial issues. But post mega-earthquake of April 25, he agreed to help the team compromising on his demands.
The village is so rural that everything except potatoes had to be imported from Kathmandu. Entire crew lived almost 45 days on potatoes.
The entire crew waited for 4 days to have proper sunny day to shoot the opening sequence of the brother and sister when brother talks about his father. The idea of sunray entering through the roof was important to the director as later in the scene, rain was supposed to enter the upper floor-a common symbol of poverty in rural village.
The scene between Arpan Thapa and Srijana Subba was improvised just a night before the shoot as the director realized their love story was being over shadowed by Saugat and Srijana's chemistry.
