She left ECW after this, Brian Lee choking her at "ECW Heat Wave 1996" being her last-ever appearance.
Taz faced UFC fighter Paul Varelans in what was billed as a "shoot (real) fight." As if Taz' manager Bill Alfonso's ranting before the match started wasn't enough of a sign that it wasn't going to be a real fight, Perry Saturn hitting a top-rope dropkick confirmed it. Varelans was never seen in or mentioned by ECW ever again.
