Story
Eight months after the death of his wife, Frank Goode looks forward to a reunion with his four adult children. When all of them cancel their visits at the last minute, Frank, against the advice of his doctor, sets out on a road trip to reconnect with his offspring. As he visits each one in turn, Frank finds that his children's lives are not quite as picture-perfect as they've made them out to be.

Bradley Cooper put himself on tape to audition for a role as Robert De Niro's son (with his own mother playing the part of De Niro). He lost out to Sam Rockwell.

The second movie in which Lily Mo Sheen plays her real-life mother Kate Beckinsale as a young girl, the first one being Underworld: Evolution (2006).

It's a remake of Everybody's Fine (1990), an Italian movie starring Marcello Mastroianni in the De Niro role.
