Fiesty 9 year old Palestinian girl Malak Ermileh from Balata Refugee Camp near Nablus changed the script from a father searching for his son - to searching for his daughter. She accompanied her brother to the audition and stole the show.
Khaled Abol Naga, an Egyptian Superstar, perfected the Palestinian dialect for the film. He was the first Arab star to enter Palestinian Territory and the Palestinian screen.
Souad Massi made three original songs for the film - now on her soundtrack released in 2015 El Mutakallimûn (Masters of the Word).
Film was shot in 25 days on location. Three weeks in Nablus and 4 days in Bethlehem, Occupied Palestine.
