Fanfic Review

Fans and the critics were quick to notice the slow pacing of the movie's plot and entire storyline which made it seem a little unclear and unpopular in the eyes of the audiences. Overall, it is a great film that has the capacity to keep its targeted audiences engrossed in the film from the very beginning and it aims to deliver a sense of freshness and a touch of romantic drama to its simple storyline which makes the movie stand out among the fans. The film is an engrossing melodrama with a terrific young ensemble that delivers superb performances. The film takes an accessible approach to current subjects, albeit with an insignificant lack of depth, tackling many social issues inherent in the transgender experience, such as peer acceptance, parental issues, and the fear of discrimination-driven violence. However, the film's use of the "fanfic" gimmick, although bordering on extremely charming, prevents a more thorough investigation of these emotional issues. Nonetheless, it is an optimistic and cheerful story, which adds to its charm and appeal.
