The film's lead actress, Tura Satana, legally owned her image and likeness. So, whenever Russ Meyer wanted to change the artwork on any of the film's posters or re-release the film, he had to get her permission to do so and sometimes pay her royalties all over again.
Russ Meyer gave the film its title because he claimed that a film title had everything in it when it contained speed (Faster), sex (Pussycat) and violence (Kill! Kill!).
Although the film made a profit, it was not a big hit when it was originally released. Since then, however, it has gone on to become a cult film and has been shown at several film festivals and art house theaters.
For the cat fight scene in the film between Rosie (Haji) and Billie (Lori Williams), director Russ Meyer told them not to rehearse in order to add to the realism of the scene. The only precaution he took was giving them directions not to hit each other. Because the fight is real, you can see things such as genuine hair pulling and each woman throwing sand in each other's faces.
Sue Bernard (Linda) was just 16 years old at the time of filming and, thus, she had not yet learned how to drive.
"The Old Man: Women! They let 'em vote, smoke and drive - even put 'em in pants! And what happens? A Democrat for president!"
"Varla: I never try anything. I just do it. And I don't beat clocks, just people! Wanna try me?"
