TRIVIA

Trivia

Final film for Donald Pleasence, Rossano Brazzi and Ciccio Ingrassia.

Donald Pleasence filmed his scenes in 1993.

Filming began in Italy in 1993 but shut down due to lack of funding. It didn't resume again until 1995. Donald Pleasence had passed away in 1994, so his character had to be written out of the remainder of the movie.

Director/writer Al Festa described the film as a crossover between the Italian stars of yesterday (Giorgio Albertazzi, Rossano Brazzi, Ugo Pagliai, Alida Valli) and the American stars of today (Rick Gianasi, Linnea Quigley, Angus Scrimm, Donald Pleasence).

According to Al Festa, after a few weeks of shooting in 1993, two producers they were relying on suddenly refused to honor the contract, so they had to shut down production. Festa brought legal action against them. After a desperate search for new funding, production company Mediaset stepped in and gave them $2 million.
