TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Director Michael Gordon had a superstition that made him put at least one of his favorite paintings by Edgar O. Kiechle into each film he directed. While one was being placed on the wall behind Kirk Douglas, Douglas quipped, "I've worked with a lot of tough directors, but he's the first one who ever insisted on holding something over an actor's head".

The neon sign outside BATES gas station appears to be same neon (identical font) used for the motel in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), produced at the same studio.

Ina Victor's film debut.

Edy Williams' film debut.

Film debut of Susana Contreras, who is of Spanish ancestry.

Popular Dialogues

"Chloe Brasher: Alright, dimples, what do you think I'm made of, money? Deke Gentry: Yes. Chloe Brasher: That's true, but it's my money, not yours."

"Deke Gentry: [taking out $40,000 in cash seemingly for a somewhat shady deal] Nothing like nice, crisp money to dicker with."
