The soundtrack of Gallivant includes audio samples from Roman Polanski's Cul-de-sac (1966) and the Public Information Film Never Go with Strangers (1971). Dialogue from the Polanski film is layered over images of Gallivant's director Andrew Kotting mimicking Donald Pleasance in Cul-De-Sac's locations at Holy Island in Northumberland.
