'Across Busy Street' is a title of an unpublished novel written by Nathanael Coffman (as seen being read by Mandy in bed).
The location used for Tommy Bush's pre-prom bash was actually Getting That Girl (2011) producer Karuna Eberl's house. Coincidentally, there was a real high school prom party going on next door during the night of the shoot.
Principal photography was originally scheduled for 17 days, however the shoot ran so smoothly that Getting That Girl (2011) wrapped in 16 days.
Although in real life Daniel Booko and Drew Gallagher were close friends, they did not find out that they were going to play alongside each other in the roles of Bill Beauchanon and Tommy Bush until only days before principal photography began.
Was edited on Final Cut Pro in a sublet one-bedroom apartment in Echo Park, California.
"Andy Wasilewski: [upon seeing Mandy for the 1st time] Sweet honey-hole of God!"
"Andy Wasilewski: [Andy & Ferrat float on rafts in Andy's pool, drinking Long Island Ice-Teas] I wrote Mandy Meyers a love letter. Ferrat Barret: I don't want to be the dick here but didn't you see her fucking leave with Tommy at Boozer's party last night? Andy Wasilewski: Ah come on now... we all make mistakes."
