Many of the extras during the roller disco scenes were fans who won the chance to appear onscreen through a contest run by the movie's production company Full Moon Features.
As in the previous Gingerdead, the song featured over the credits "Run, Run, Run" is a spoof of the Joan Jett song "Bad Reputation" as well as a reference to the Gingerbread Man fairy tale in which the title character taunts "Run, run, run as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!"
Gingerdead Man says "Do a little dance, make a lotta love, commit homicide tonight!" This is a nod to the KC & The Sunshine Band song "Get Down Tonight".
"Ingrid: It's a homicidal confectionary treat! Everybody run!"
